The RUF Campus Staff position is designed for women who are called to serve the college campus in vocational ministry. RUF Campus Staff can serve alongside and under the direction of a Campus Minister at a co-ed school or as the RUF leader at a women's college. The heart of this ministry is to care for and disciple female students and help shepherd female interns as they minister to college students.
All Campus Staff are responsible for raising their annual budgets. The budget includes salary, health insurance, ministry expenses, training expenses, and administrative fees.
Our female Campus Staff receive ongoing training alongside our RUF Campus Ministers and Interns. They attend Orientation the summer before their first year on staff and week-long training twice each year after that, in July and December. These weeks not only provide helpful guidance in ministry, but are also fun, encouraging, and uplifting chances to fellowship with hundreds of other people serving in ministry with RUF.
As the campus ministry for the Presbyterian Church in America (PCA), all campus staff must be a member of a PCA church and complete a Theological Q&A based on PCA Theological Standards. To be considered for this position, it is preferred that the candidate have a college degree and three years of ministry experience. If the candidate does not have a college degree, she must have had significant ministry experience either vocationally or volunteering.
The application for Campus Staff opens on September 1st and closes on November 3rd at 5 pm ET. Once an application is received and approved, the candidate will have a Zoom interview with the Campus Staff National Staff (Casey Cockrum, Assistant Vice President of Campus Staff, and Amanda DeYoung, Director of Campus Staff). References are due before the Zoom interview. If the candidate is approved after the interview, she will be invited to attend the RUF Campus Staff Assessment Process Jan. 8-10 in Westminster, CO, to be further assessed for her calling and fit for this role. RUF Assessment is required.
We're grateful for and excited about your interest in our Campus Staff position! Please reach out to Shaunna Kennedy, Administrator of the Campus Staff Department, at shaunna.kennedy@ruf.org with any questions.
